Jeff Hardy's SOOL Farewell Address
SOOL Announcer: Ladies & Gentlemen, please join me in welcoming, to make his final appearance in a SOOL Ring, Two Time World Heavyweight Champion, Jeff Hardy!
**The fans explode in a chorus of cheers as they show their respects to the one, the only, Charismatic Enigma, known as Jeff Hardy. This will be the last and final time Jeff Hardy will grace his adoring fans as he delivers his Farewell Address. What will he do? What will he say? Everyone is on the edge of their seats as they await the arrival of Jeff Hardy as his music continues to play. The anticipation grows and grows as the crowd beckons their hero, one last time...**

**Suddenly, Jeff Hardy's music stops playing as it's cut off by a familiar chord...**

**The crowd is surprised and stunned by this unexpected turn of events as The Commissioner of SOOL struts his way down to the ring looking arrogant and happy as ever. He is wearing a fancy brown button down suit jacket, a white undershirt with a brown tie and brown slacks. He sports a dark black cowboy hat as he continues to make his way to the ring. The crowd is obviously not happy in the slightest as they boo his ever step. He enters the ring through the top and middle ropes, doing his signature pose as firework pyros explode from behind him. He requests a microphone to be handed to him immediately from ringside as he orders his music to be cut. The fans are not letting up, as they let their voices be heard, with continuous boos toward Michaels.**
::Commissioner Michaels::
Well then, not the man you were all presumably expecting to see? The crowd boos wildly. Tell me, where exactly is your almighty hero now? The "Charismatic One" you all loved to support, night in and night out, even though behind the scenes, he didn't give a DAMN about EACH...AND EVERYONE...OF YOU, much less SOOL, and yet it didn't refrain ANY of you from wanting to hear that piece of crap give his Farewell Address here tonight. So now then, why exactly am I out here? ...Well, I'm here to tell it like it is.
**A loud "We Want Hardy! We Want Hardy! We Want Hardy" chant breaks out. Michaels pays no attention to it as he continues to speak his mind.**
::Commissioner Michaels::
For those of you who were hoping to see Jeff Hardy, I'm afraid I've got some bad news...you see, there won't be any "heartfelt" goodbyes or a farewell speech of any kind here tonight. The fans respond with a chorus of boos. Last week, the final chapter in the "storied career" of Jeff Hardy was written, and so now it is finished. The SOOL Career of Jeff Hardy...is over. You know, it's the only way I could see him burning out too, with his tail tucked cowardly between his legs, taking his ball and going home, like the sad, pathetic, low-work ethic-ed, self centered, egotistical, lying... LITTLE BITCH, I always knew he was!
**The roar of the boos from the crowd are defining, the hostility towards Michaels is off the charts.**
::Commissioner Michaels::
Whether he wants to believe it or you people want to admit it, Jeff Hardy in the eyes of those who can recognize the bigger picture will tell you that he was nothing more than a footnote, a mere after thought in this business. He expected everything to be handed to him like he was something special. He really believed in his mind that he was God's Gift to SOOL. He even managed to brain wash all of you idiots who supported him into his ridiculous beliefs. He thought he could get ahead and make it to the top by using The Corporation as a stepping stone, but like his entire career, he failed. Don't get me wrong, it was a valiant effort...but in the end, it was just...NOT...GOOD...ENOUGH! He perished... the same will be said for Kurt Angle tonight after Kane gets done with him.
::Commissioner Michaels::
The fact of the matter is this, guys like Jeff Hardy and Kurt Angle, they are examples of "The Past". The Corporation is "The Present" and "The Future" of SOOL and that's something you ALL NEED TO ACCEPT and come to terms with. Anyone who opposes this idea WILL fall like those who have already tried. Understand that success can come to YOU too... but only if you truthfully "Believe in The Corporation".
**Michaels tosses the microphone as The Corporation's music hits. The crowd continues to show The Commissioner how they feel about him as he walks up the ramp to the backstage area as we get ready for the first match of the night.**
United States Champion, Shane Douglas vs. Jake Roberts
We turn to The Viper's locker room, as he is sitting down and facing the camera.
Randy Orton: Tonight is the night, Bray. I'm so grateful that Shane McMahon had the smarts to make this match for Summerslam, because I've been waiting to get my hands on you for a long time. People who watched Smackdown might be asking themselves, "Randy Orton's back? But wait, what problem does he have with The Wyatt Family?" Well I'll tell you exactly what problem I have with The Wyatts. It all goes back to that fateful Ladder match that night at WrestleMania V. For that Money in the Bank briefcase. You remember that night, Bray? Because I do. I remember everyone in that match getting screwed over. I remember everyone working their asses off, myself included, to get that briefcase. And then, in the end, you had your little lap dog come over. He held your hand while you got the briefcase, and I bet you felt good about yourself. I bet you felt like you were the man, because now you're on all the posters, the DVD cases, merchandising all over....But you're not. As a matter of fact, what you have proved to me is that you're nothing more than a fake. A phony. You're a joke.
Orton snickers a bit.
Randy Orton: So that's why, like it or not, I came back to SOOL. I came back to send you and your family a message. I am sick and tired of you Duck Dynasty rejects taking over. I am absolutely SICK OF IT! And tonight, you're going to feel what everyone in this business has and will feel soon: The sting of The Viper's coil. Bray, you can talk all that jazz about your Sister Abigail. You can talk about your immense hunger as you proclaim yourself to be "The Eater of Worlds." And quite frankly, I don't think anyone should be surprised at that last statement, considering how you're packing quite the beer belly. You can look cool with your fedora and your Hawaiian shirt. It doesn't faze me, Bray. Tonight, I PROMISE you that you are in for the most painful night of your life. You know how dangerous I am. You know what I've done to other people here, and most importantly, you know that I set several new records with my United States Championship reign, not to forget holding the Hardcore Championship as well. I'm climbing up to the top, but you.........For you my friend, it's going to be a llllllooooooonnnngggggg way down.
Orton leaves the view of the camera as the segment fades to black.
Tag Team Madness 1
Seth Rollins vs. Adam Rose vs. Karl Anderson vs. Jake Roberts vs. Jimmy Uso vs. Mystery Opponent
Jake Roberts last eliminated Seth Rollins to qualify for the Tag Team Title Match later on tonight. If Raven wins Tag Team Madness 2, Jake Roberts & Raven will be declared automatic tag team champions. Brock Lesnar made his return as the mystery opponent in this match.
A personal Camera turns on showing Shane Douglas sitting on a couch in his locker room with his United States World Heavyweight Championship on his lap and Shane begins to speak.
-Shane Douglas-
People said it couldn't be done but I got it done I retained this my United States World Heavyweight Championship against Jake Roberts.
Shane Stands up and wraps the belt around his waist then begins to speak.
-Shane Douglas-
Francine does this look good on me or what?
Francine steps into frame and speaks.
-Francine-
It looks amazing around your waist baby.
Francine walks over, bends over, kisses the Gold Belt and then sits down on the couch as Shane Speaks again.
-Shane Douglas-
Francine we will run this place inside, out and we will do it together how does that sound.
-Francine-
That sounds amazing baby I can't wait.
-Shane Douglas-
I have an amazing idea how about this I plan out who I face at the next Pay Per View for my United States World Heavyweight Championship we will make big ratings because I know there is only one big way to do this and I will reveal that tomorrow night live so till then you will all have to wait.
Shane reaches over, turns off the camera and as the picture fades the next segment begins.
Singles Match
Mr. Money in the Bank, Bray Wyatt vs. Randy Orton
Cody Rhodes stands lone in the ring, waiting to talk for the first time in a whole month.
Cody Rhodes: Silence. It is said that silence is a virtue. Well let me tell you I given the gift of silence and also humility one month ago. One month ago I led a lunatic and a Soldier to victory in what could only be called the devils playground. I stepped in the structure and faced a hooligan in the for of Karl, an equal if not bigger lunatic in than Ambrose in the form of Mick Foley, and worse of all I squared off against an entity in itself, Bray Wyatt. War was waged, bodies were broken, alliances made, alliances were broken and everything in between. But in the end, every member of Team Wyatt including Wyatt himself fell before me via Cross Rhodes. Can you imagine how much confidence that gave me? Not only had I won the match and would go on to fight for the title along side Cena at Summerslam, I'm the sole reason my team was victorious. A man is nothing without confidence but I am proof that a man's confidence can also become his undoing.
Cody takes a deep breath, his face looks pained.
Cody Rhodes: As I laid on the ground. My body reeling from the Lethal Lockdown match and now my head reeling from eating three super kicks to the jaw. I wondered where I went wrong. The World title escaped my grasp after I worked so hard to achieve it. If that soul breaking defeat wasn't enough I would go on to suffer a just as bad defeat next week. Once again I stared up into the heavens as I wondered where I went wrong. Eddie Kingston walked out of Raw with MY title because DDP couldn't kick out. Regardless of who's fault it was, in a mere forty eight hours I lost literally EVERYTHING. Silence. Silence is the gift or maybe the curse that was given to me. But! But...you know what they say. When one door closes, Another soon opens up. And I think the odds couldn't be more in my favor.
Cody looks directly up. Up at the briefcase suspended above the ring.
Cody Rhodes: Above me...above hangs my chance at redemption. A contract to cash in for a match for the title whenever I choose. And It's a ladder match to boot. Now I know most people don't know but my track history is nothing to look over. I defeated Cena and Mick Foley as apart of the team Team Rhodes Scholars my return. Then, I defeated Wyatt in a ladder match that let me pick my team for Lethal Lockdown. Tonight, lightning strikes thrice. This is my chance to undo all the wrongs I have done to myself over the weeks. I do not intend to waste it! Tonight I will climb this ladder is grab hold of my destiny. The competition is fierce. But...they lack the true knowledge of pain. They have yet to experience the pain I suffered. Losing to Del Rio, Losing my Hardcore Championship, Losing my LOOKS! Tonight, I show the difference between who WANTS it and who DESERVES it.
Cody's face tightens with resolve. He places the mic down before walking to the back.
2 out of 3 Falls Count Anywhere 4 Man Hell in a Cell Match
Hardcore Champion, Eddie Kingston vs. Edge vs. JBL vs. Raven
As the match starts Edge goes straight for Kingston and JBL throws Raven out of the ring and follows him. Austin tries to go after JBL but DDP blindsides him with a clothesline. JBL grabs Raven and flapjacks him against the cagee while Kingston hits Edge with elbows in the corner. DDP then dumps Austin to the outside as well. Kingston takes Edge out of the corner and suplexes him while Jbl is rubbing Ravens face on the cage then throws Raven to the cage wall on the other side and runs at him about to hit the clothesline but Austin has just dropped DDP with a big right hand and then intercepts JBL with the Lou Thez Press. Raven then makes his way over to DDP and grabs his arm and elbows him in the face then Russian leg sweep's him into the cage while Kingston continues to dominate Edge while mounting him and striking him in the face. Kingston goes for a running knee but Edge gets up and hits the Winning Edge and goes for a pin 1...2..kickout!
JBL manages to fight off Austin and slam him into the cage but then Raven backs up after hitting the Russian leg sweep on DDP and runs at Jbl, But Jbl reverses and German suplexes Raven through the cage wall. JBL goes for the pin 1...2..Kickout!
Edge picks Kingston up and goes for the spear but Kingston side steps Edge and hits the spinning backfist while Jbl pick Raven up and sets him against the cage and goes for a tackle but Raven side steps and both are down. Austin quickly Irish whips DDP into the ring post as Kingston goes for the pin 1....2....3! Kingston gets one point!
Raven and Jbl are getting up as Edge reverses a powerbomb into a ddt and then He rolls Kingston outside and irish whips him into the steel steps. Raven and Jbl trade punches and Raven gets the upper hand with a headbutt. Jbl pushes Raven away but then from out of nowhere Austin clotheslines both JBL and Raven. DDP then stalks Austin and hits him with a Diamond Cutter and pins him on the outside and get a 1...2...3 and now DDP has one point!
JBL gets up and then runs up the cage and Austin follows after grabbing a steel chair and holding it in one hand climbing up after Jbl as Edge picks up Kingston but Kingston reverses it and suplexes Edge through the other Cage wall and goes for the pin 1...2..Kickout!
As Austin gets to the top Jbl takes a cheapshot and then backside suplexes Austin on the cell top. DDP then goes after Raven and Raven low blows DDP and both men now try to catch their breathe for a bit. Edge is getting up and sees Kingston climbing up the cage Edge climbs up after him and grabs him half way up and German suplexes him from half way up the cell through the announce table as Jbl is setting up Austin for the powerbomb through the top of the cell. Edge and Kingston go through the announce table and Edge crawls for the pin, 1...2...3! Edge gets a point!
Jbl is about to powerbomb Austin through the cell as Austin back body drops JBL and they go through the top of the cell! Austin and JBL are both down in the ring but once they finally come to and stagger to their feet, Austin captalizes and strikes with a Stunner and then covers JBL 1...2...3! Austin gets a point.
Kingston and Edge are still down not showing life as Doctors check on them, Raven and DDP are getting up and Raven runs at DDP and kicks him in the gut and plants him with his Raven Flow DDT and covers him 1...2...3! Raven gets a point!
The crowd starts chanting "This Is Awesome!" now as all 6 superstars have a pinfall! Kingston and Edge are now showing life making their way to the ring, Jbl picks up Raven and then knees him in the gut as he is going for the jacknife but Raven counters with a small package and rolls up Jbl but then Austin breaks it up at 1. Edge and Kingston are in the ring now but still on the ground. DDP goes after Kingston but then Raven runs over and lunges at both men with a crossbody block that sends all three men up over the top rope and onto the floor. JBL is now up as he sees Edge and Austin both down. Edge isn't moving much as he's catching his breathe but JBL certainly has a bone to pick with Austin as he wants to hit him with a clothesline from hell. However, JBL gets the idea to humiliate Austin and so he stands him up and apparently it looks like JBL is going to try and hit Austin with the Stunner. As JBL goes for it, he turns his back to Austin and hooks his head and just then Edge rushes in and smashed into JBL with a spear! JBL goes down, Austin stumbles backwards into the ropes and Edge quickly pins JBL 1...2....3! Edge wins!
Adam Rose comes out as the cage is raised and Edge slides out of the ring. The referee rushes over to Edge and hands him his newly won Hardcore Championship and Rose hugs him. Rose raises Edge's arm in victory as Edge then raises the Hardcore title up over his head in celebrate and then they make their way into the back with the other Rose buds to celebrate Edge's hard fought title win.
Singles Match
Kane vs. Kurt Angle
"Ladies and gentlemen, this match is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first, the Olympic Gold Hero, Kurt, Angle!"
The man himself, Kurt Angle, comes walking out onto stage, medal around his neck. He shows his teeth, which are hidden behind a mouth guard before shaking his head and making pyro explode. He takes off down the ramp, the crowd chanting "You Rock!" to the beat of the theme. He nods to the beat as he makes his entrance, high fiving a few of the fans while coming down the ramp as the commentary team recap how he's been against the corporation, and having been pit up against so many people who were a joke. By the time that's over, Angle is in the ring, bouncing around, prepping for his match to come.
BOOM!!!
"And his opponent, Hell's favorite demon, Kane!"
The pyro explodes as the music hits, sending the arena into a red tint. Red smoke begins to bellow from the entry way but Kane marches through it, a demon on a mission. He stomps down the ramp, ignoring the jeering crowd as he makes his way to the ring. He makes it to the apron in no time, reaching up and grabbing the top rope, pulling himself up onto the apron. He steps over the ropes and into the ring, causing the bell to ring and the match to begin.
It kicks off with Kane squaring up in a fighting stance while Angle does the same. The two lock up, with Angle getting the advantage, slipping around Kane and hugging him from behind. He pushes Kane forward, looking to push him into the corner. Kane slips around him and then, it's Angle in the corner. Game time. Kane wastes no time sending shot after shot to the head and body of Kurt, working him down. Angle holds up his hands for defense with no real affect. Kane batters him until he drops his guard, sending him across the ring into the opposing turnbuckle. Kane takes off in a sprint, hurling his entire body at Kurt, clotheslinning him. He doesn't stop there as he repeats the sequence. This time however, Angle bounces off the corner, right into a side walk slam.
Can it really be this simple to work a wrestler like Angle? Not at all. But, Angle is no match for Kane. The monster is nothing but that, a monster. Kane stands over Angle, throwing his hair back so he can see properly. He reaches down and grabs Angle by the throat, lifting him off the mat. He stares into Kurt's eyes angrily, as though about to Chokeslam him. Angle chops the arm though, slipping behind Kane again and launching him with a German Suplex. Kurt rolls up into a base position on his hands and knees, crawling over to Kane and covering. Only the 1 count as Angle begins to work a headlock.
After several position changes and wear down moves by Angle, Kurt begins to hype the crowd, dragging Kane to his feet with a headlock. He slips behind him again, looking for another German, this time, halted by the strength of Kane, Kane breaking the hold and spinning around, kicking Angle in the gut and doubling him over. Kane picks Angle up for the Last Ride powerbomb, slamming him down to the mat with viciousness. He then falls back against the ropes, apparently tired from the wrestling and wear down moves of Angle. He then stands fully, making the cut throat taunt at Angle before lifting him to his feet. He grabs Angle by the throat and delivers the Chokeslam, knocking Angle out. However, it appears that Kane is not here for the match anymore. He slips from the ring, tearing the steps apart and launching the smaller of the two into the ring. Kane follows behind, setting them next to Angle and then lifting Angle up. He picks Angle up onto his shoulder, then steps onto the steps. He sets up for the tombstone and plants Angle, right on the steps, causing the ref to ring the bell.
The match, is over. Angle has the win, but in the end, appears broken. Paramedics rush to ringside to check on Angle, who isn't moving while Kane stands tall, lifting his hands over his head and slamming them down, causing pyro to explode and ending the segment.

Camera cuts to the ring which shows cactus jack sitting in the ring
Cactus Jack: I have always taken a lot of chances in the ring and some very bad things have happened to me over the years, but I've always had the comfort of knowing that when I looked at my career, my dreams, the things I accomplished, the things I'd set my heart on... that it was always worth the pain. So people ask, 'Cactus, so how are you after the beatings you have taken the past couple of weeks. Has Wyatt gotten into your head since lethal lockdown?', I say, that I'll be damned, if I'm gonna let a man like Bray Wyatt put Cactus Jack away.
And I'm not gonna get into the reason why, but I will say, that when Cactus Jack was laying - and I was conscious, and I could move, but it was very hard to move and I was not very far from being unconscious - and when I looked out around the arena from the backstage after giving it my all for you people, well, I heard something in my... in my ears that - I gotta tell you the truth - it kinda made me sick! That's, there was an announcement being made, thanking the fans for coming to the SOOL event and they said something about Del Rio and, uh, yeah, people, people started chanting his name.
And it's, it's funny, because when I came here and I was Mankind, there were always people saying, 'Why don't you just be Cactus Jack?' Then when I came out in black and white boots they said, 'You know, why don't you just be Cactus Jack?' Well, I gave you Cactus Jack I GAVE YOU EVERY FUCKING PIECE OF ENERGY I HAD, any when I was laying there, helpless, you chanted someone else's name.
This is not a knock on Del Rio! Hey, I'm happy he's the champion. Well maybe not happy but he is a good worker and fights hard for the championship and he may not admit it, but we've known each other for a long time and he's been my friend. But what you people did to me when I was laying here in the middle of the ring was not only distasteful and disrespectful, it was fucking disgusting and I'm gonna give you a chance to make it up to me because I'm gonna accept a group apology right now!
The crowd start to boo Cactus Jack.
Well... I can finally say for the first time, after thirteen years of blood, sweat and tears... that it's not worth it anymore... it's gonna be a long time before you see Cactus Jack in a ring again.
Cactus drops the microphone and walks out of the arena as shocked fans look on not believing what has just happened in front of them.
Intercontinental Champion, Chris Jericho vs. Wade Barrett
The crowd is on fire tonight as SummerSlam has not been a let down at all whatsoever. Then the commotion amongst the fans is interrupted by the following theme signaling the beginning of the next match which will be for the Intercontinental Championship.
Wade Barrett comes out onto the stage grinning from ear to ear wearing his coat over his shoulders. Barrett seems to be pumped up for this championship opportunity as he makes his usual entrance on down to the ring as he is set on becoming the new Intercontinental Champion here tonight at SummerSlam. Barrett enters the ring and appears to be getting loose as he warms up as his music comes to an end. The referee checks Barrett for any possible illegal foreign objects as the theme of the Corporation begins to play.
Jericho comes out wearing his title proudly around his waist as he makes his usual entrance while staring eye to eye with Wade Barrett as this is going to be quite the intense match for the both of them.
Jericho enters the ring and demands that the referee keep Barrett back away from him until the match officially begins. Jericho unstraps the title from around his waist and begins to look at it. He smiles as he is prepared to defend his title, but his moment with the title is cut short as Wade Barrett grabs Jericho’s right arm and spins him around, pulling Jericho towards him and then nails him hard in the face with the Bull Hammer elbow! Jericho hits the mat as he drops the title and Barrett instantly goes to cover him. Jericho is out and Wade looks to have the match won but as a few moments pass, there’s no count from the referee.
The crowd begins to chant the three count as the referee had grabbed the Intercontinental Championship up off the floor and walked over to hand it to the ring announcer instead of counting down Jericho. Wade then looks up at the referee and yells at him to make the count but the referee refuses to do so. The referee begins to explain to Wade that the match hadn’t even officially began before he hit Jericho, as Jericho hadn’t even surrendered the title or take off his jacket yet. Wade is outraged as he feels that he’s been screwed but the referee informs him to allow Jericho to get to his feet first and then he’ll officially ring the bell to start the match. Wade is frustrated as the referee instructs him to wait in the corner as Jericho begins to try and get up. Jericho finally stands up and is holding his jaw as he realizes that Barrett gave him a cheap shot. Jericho is irate at being disrespected as he throws off his jacket and begins to verbally insult Barrett from across the ring. The referee then rings the bell to officially begin the match.
Jericho hears the ring bell but is so upset that he refuses to face Barrett now, as he screams, “I’m done.” And then exits the ring. Jericho exits the ring and begins to walk away. The referee begins to count him out but Barrett isn’t going to allow this to end in a count out. Barrett exits the ring and is in pursuit of Jericho as the count quickly hits three. Barrett catches up Jericho and grabs him by his hair and the back of his trunks and then Barrett forces Jericho back to the ring as he then slings Jericho back under the bottom ring rope and into the ring.
Barrett then gets back in the ring to break the count at eight. Then as soon as Barrett re-entered the ring, Jericho begins to stomp away at Wade to get the advantage while he’s down. Wade is now down on his stomach after a few stomps from Jericho, as Jericho now grabs the ring ropes and uses them to thrust his knee into Wade’s back. With Jericho using the ring ropes now, the referee forces Jericho to take a few steps back and warn him of not using the ropes for leverage. Jericho could care less about what the referee is saying as he sees Barrett up on his hands and knees trying to get back up, so Jericho rushes past the referee and delivers a perfectly placed low dropkick to Barrett’s head.
Barrett takes both feet to the side of the head and he drops back down and rolls onto his back while holding the side of his face. Jericho looks to be pretty proud of his handy work as he now begins to measure up Wade and without much hesitation Jericho begins to run towards the ring ropes on the opposite side of Barrett. Jericho then hops onto the middle rope and springboards off of it connecting with Wade to deliver the Lionsault. Jericho gets up and now looks down at Barrett who is grabbing his stomach and gasping for air, so Jericho now decides to capitalize further on his situation as he grabs Barrett’s legs and looks to put him in the Walls of Jericho. Barrett doesn’t put up too much fight as Jericho locks in the hold, and Barrett is now in the middle of the ring trying to fight for survival and not tap out to the pain.
Wade begins to crawl over to the rings ropes slowly as Jericho is looking for the submission victory. The referee is checking on Barrett as he keeps shaking his head no refusing to give up while inches closer to the bottom rope and finally makes it there which will now force Jericho to release the hold. The ref informs Jericho of the rope break, but Jericho couldn’t care about it as the referee begins to count out Jericho to disqualify him. The referee reaches a count of four but instead of counting to five, the referee doesn’t want it to end via disqualification so he pries Jericho off of Wade. Jericho is pissed as he begins to argue with the official but the distraction is long enough for Wade to get back to his feet, so as Jericho sees this he runs over to Wade, but Wade was ready for him as he catches Jericho and uses his own momentum against him and plants him with the winds of change and then covers the champ.
1, 2 … Kick out! Jericho was surprised by the move from Barrett and was just barely able to kick out before the count of three. Jericho gets up and after Wade catches his breathe as he nails a thrust kick right into Jericho’s stomach. Wade then brings Jericho down with a snap suplex. Then before Jericho gets up, Wade mounts Jericho and begins to punch him in the head several times until the referee pulls Wade off of Jericho.
Wade gets up and allows the referee to do his job as he surely doesn’t want to be disqualified. Jericho gets up but Wade doesn’t give him much of a breather as Wade hits Jericho with a running knee lift. Jericho takes the hit and is wobbling around on his feet, but before he can fall, Wade grabs Jericho’s arm and puts it between his own legs and grabs from the back end as Jericho doubles over. Jericho’s situation doesn’t look good as Wade hooks Jericho’s other arm behind his back and lifts him up and plants him with a solid pumphandle drop. Jericho hits the mat and rolls onto his side holding his back in pain, but that only exposes him as Wade follows up with a swift kick straight to the back of Jericho.
Wade is certainly working over Jericho’s back as he helps him up to his feet and Irish whips him hard into the turnbuckle. Wade then rushes over and hits Jericho with a big clothesline in the corner and immediately after that Wade follows it up by grabbing Jericho as he’s stumbling and lifts him up onto his shoulders and easily slams his down with a Wasteland. Wade Barrett then goes for the cover and the referee follows up with the count as he begins with one, then goes to two and then the referee brings his hand down and makes the three count! Wade Barrett stands up and throws his fist up in victory as he looks over to the ring announcer holding the Intercontinental Championship however Barrett doesn’t realize that the match isn’t over yet as Jericho managed to get his foot up on the rope before the referee made the count of three. Barrett is confused until the referee begins to explain the situation to him and as Barrett stands there in disbelief, Jericho sneaks up behind Wade and brings him down with a schoolboy pin as the referee then slides into position to count Wade down for the one, two three!
The bell rings and Jericho escapes out of underneath the bottom fairly quickly as Wade pops up to his feet after the count was made. Wade can’t believe what just happened as he seemed to have had the championship won moments ago. Jericho is on the outside grinning from ear to ear as he knows he just stole one from Wade. Jericho is handed the Intercontinental Championship as Barrett is frustrated and the corporation’s music begins to play. Jericho walks away as he extends his historic reign as Intercontinental Champion.
